I see a small blue flame in the viewing window after the first click. But the indicator light never starts blinking. And if I move the knob away from the pilot position, then the flame immediately goes out. Any thoughts? I'm not sure what the problem is

We DO know that we had to have the capacitor replaced several years ago. We were told that heavy lightning storms nearby can often cause them to go out. I never daisy chained GFIs…. Every outlet is independent with each receptical having its own GFI.
